Am just wondering who here who goes to L3, also plays an MMO. I play GuildWars, was in Everquest but the subscription was to much to keep up. I know a few of you play EVE and some WoW?
Be interesting to see who LAN's but also plays MMO's.
Sign in if you don't, more curiosity killing than anything else.
I don't because of the time commitment involved with them.
I did play Dungeon Runners for a while, but it did eat quite a bit of time, so I'm glad that I don't any more. I have no intention of playing any MMO seriously any time soon, as I would rather have time to do other things :giggle:
I am looking forward to the FreeLancer sessions though. I hope they don't run into any technical issues.
Yeah I'm hoping to give FreeLancer a go. I did have a question about it though, what version of the discovery mod is being used, just the most recent?
I used to play Guild Wars and then WoW. I did love WoW but it took up too much time and I knew it would eventually get in the way of my Uni work. I seriously doubt I would have done so well had I kept playing, I was starting to get addicted.
We'll be playing the latest version available. All the patches and mod stuff is available on our brand spanking new intranet :gentleman:
:screamy: you played guild wars?
Whats last time you logged on ;o
Never tried freelancer (Amazingly) Dungeon Runners was great and I enjoyed it, but I had to many lag issues. Ultimately the game was closed down.
GuildWars is all I am palying currently.

I used to play Ultima online and play eve off and on, was playing wow but just got access to a friends Starcraft2 beta account and haven't logged on since
Hope is the denial of reality. It is the carrot dangled before the draft horse to keep him plodding along in a vain attempt to reach it.
I played Battletech 3025 when it was in beta before it got sued out of existance - for a few months anyway.
Planetside & Tabula Rosa - i might have been tempted to play if they were free
Yeah, I'd be more likely to play an MMO if it was a one-off cost (or a particularly low monthly cost, like Dungeon Runners was) - but not when it's a full-price game with pricey expansion packs AND a monthly fee.
Thats what attracted me to GuildWars when I was in high school, you buy the box and its free for life, you just buy expansions but never require them.
No idea what GuildWars 2 will be like, am a bit sceptic about it becoming a WoW clone when the reason I really like the original game now is for the fact its different.

Nope, never really played any, aside from trials to see whether its worth while. Have never been compelled to try any.
24 hours in a day 24 beers in a case coincidence? I think not!
Thats interesting, what puts you off them?

freelancer was be for me but I think i have missed the revival what is the new mod?
260Kms 50mm off the ground - hell better then drugs better than sex
Theres a mod called "Discovery" that we were trying out at the lan. Pretty awesome stuff really, but the game is a little too complex I think.
Yeah? Complexity is just something I can't be bothered with at LANs, my LANS are relax and socialize with some easy to get into gaming xD :coffee-toast:
Looks like people are trying to get me back into Everquest though.

I've just started playing a relativly new MMO, Battle of the immortals.
It's kind of a mix between WoW and Conquer Online/Diablos 2(Don't know about Diablos 2 myself as i've never played, but that's what a reviewer said)
I couldn't stand that game, didn't last more than 20 minutes before saying, done this so many times before, not doing it again.

Fair enough, i normally manage to stay playing a game for a few weeks before i quit.
Has happened for so many other MMOs
I have been playing an interesting free to play mmo called "Grand Fantasia" first impressions should be ignored as this game sells itself poorly on the website. But it is actually pretty decent.

:O! I will take a look, always interested in the free to play market and seeing how they support themselves.
Is it cash shop supported?

I mainly play WoW.
Although the one that got me hooked was tibia, back in the day.

I think thats the one MMO, I just couldn't get into in the early days. Though it took about 6 months before the game really fixed itself up and took off.
