Entry
We we'll be using the Entrance on Madras Street - Please do not enter or load from Bedford Row - this is due to both Security & Traffic concerns..
Before the LAN
If you need to come before 6pm, with your gear etc, you may use the area just inside the doors to the left (where the leaners are) to store your equipment. You're welcome to wait in that same area or head off and do whatever. If you do arrive before 6, please don't disturb the Admins as we will be running around setting things up.
Car Parking
Legends/The Bedford does not have its own car parks, however around the old Turners & Growers site there is un-metered parking (on the right hand side of lichfield & left of Tuam Streets), As always check for signage I think the first 20m has signs posted.
And bewarned for those parking in metered or sign posted areas, You can be ticketed on both Saturday & Sunday during the day.
Attendees
When the doors do open please QUE at the admin tables (in 2 rows) and register before bringing your kit in. It just makes things flow a little smoother rather than having people que up whilst juggling cases & monitors & cookies etc. You will be given an armband & a piece of paper with your handle and various details printed on it (IP address etc). Once registered and paid feel free to zip in and out setting up. Please DO NOT open the fire doors or use any other entrance to Legends/The Bedford.
R18
If you didn't already know, L3 is an R18 event. At this event you will be asked to produce Proof of Age Identification, as any bar/liquor store would. There will only be 3 forms of Identification accepted, New Zealand Driver's Licence, HANZ 18+ card, or Passport.
UA permits are no longer valid so you must be of age to attend L3.
Remember: No ID No Entry. No Exceptions.
Alcohol
There is no BYO allowed for alcohol. Alcohol can be purchased from the upstairs bar at the front of the building. This is a licensed bar.
This will be open on Friday night & possibly Saturday.
Food/Drink
You're more than welcome to bring your own food & non alcoholic drinks.
A BBQ with free sausages will be held at Lunch time on the Saturday.
We'll be selling cans of Coke/Mountain Dew etc for a $1
In terms of Fast food outlets:
Subway is located 3 blocks across on High St.
MacDonald’s, Burger King & a whole range of other takeaway shops are also within that same area.
Countdown is also about 4 blocks away on Madras st/Moorhouse ave & is open until midnight.
Lastly there is a 24 hour Dairy on Manchester St.
Legends/The Bedford
Legends is a very tidy & a fairly straight forward space, however there are several no go areas such as behind the main bar (which will be closed), The Kitchen, & storage rooms. As there are many Security Cameras please note that if you go into one of these spaces we will find out & you won't be welcome at L3 again.
The sleeping area might be upstairs, but we're waiting on conformation as to wither internal walls will be in place at the time of the Lan.
Rubbish
Rubbish and Recycling bins as usual will be provided.
They will be labeled Glass, Plastic, Cans & general Rubbish.
Please use the right bin for the right material - its not that hard to figure out & saves us alot of time come Sunday Morning.
Also when you leave please make sure your area is tidy. :)
