L3 #44: The Somewhat Summer LAN

Hi everyone, Welcome to 2k9!
Yes we’re back again after a somewhat (unfortunately) extended break to bring you another awesome year of Lanning!
Expect; Epic Fragging, Neon shorts, Bad Movies & a raft of general LAN goodness that you won't find elsewhere!
We’ve a shiny new venue to call home as well;
Legend's has been taken over by our good friend Wendy (from the Civic) and we’ll be making the move with her.
If you thought the Civic was a great venue – Legend's is cleaner, more modern, lots of working toilets, gas & electric heaters, 3 phase power, multiple projector screens, proper kitchen etc, etc.
Oh and it’s near some un-metered parking areas which should make some of you very happy.

Our main Tournament for this Lan will be Quake 3: Rocket Arena starting at 8pm on Saturday night.
Organized Games of; COD5, DoW2, & GTA4 will be happening at various times throughout the lan.
Our classic game this lan will be AvP2 - in light of the announcement of a forth coming sequel.
As always this is just the short list, if you want to play something else then grab some people & start a game.

at some point in the near future would pictures be provided for us to see the inside of Legend's? or we gonna have to wait to unwrap it like a mid-winter present?

One question...how will we be lanning over the weekend in Legends where will their bar patrons go???? Will we have a special entrance etc for sat night to avoid the queues etc(i havent been here for a while on sat/fri nights so im not sure how busy it is recently)!!!
Im doing some tech writing for The Box section of the Press. I spoke to the editor about doing a piece on the next L3 lan....would this be cool????
Obviously ill mainly be fragging etc but i might come and have a chat with a couple of peeps if the head honchos give the go ahead.

Btw, the map listed on the opening post points to a bar in the UK.

I was wondering whether i can bring my 16 year old brother? He would just be a visitor.
Apart from the obvious PC gammage, I reakon a few 360's with Street Fighter 4 on mentioned plethora of projectors could make a pretty win mini tourny!
Projector action is a must!
And who is supplying said projectors & 360s?
We only have 1 projector which will already be in use,
The staff no longer bring in their consoles due to damage/loss of related items.
If you'd like to supply the equipment then by all means.

I know it has been touched on many times before but the 18 age limit is now inforced due to that legends is a bar?
