The Aftermath
Another Lan done and dusted,
Most things went well although network performance definitely wasn't up to par. |nferno and KingJackaL finally managed to cobble together an adhoc solution on the Saturday although speeds were low. More than anything "The change of venue Curse" struck us again, But it was a reasonable start to the year. And now on to the details;

Attendance
All in all a grand total of 108 people (including 5 1/2 admins) showed up - which lead to an almost completely full venue. Which worked out well for us in terms of heating - considering the rather patchy weather throughout the weekend - We didn't even end up turning on the humongous ceiling heaters, so things should be sorted for future winter events.

The BBQ
Better late than never the BBQ once again fed our hungry Lanners on the Saturday afternoon, despite high winds and a Crazy Lady who can't reverse a car without hitting everything in sight and then attempting to sneak away, Everything on this went to plan with Phatputer and Frairwolf doing the cooking duties.

Gaming and Tournaments
Although the tournaments didn't go as planned due to our admin team being snowed under fixing other problems, Someone managed to get a fairly large game of Quake 3 going in place of the Tourney, Grand Theft Auto 4 and Defense Of The Ancients were quite popular as well. But the big game this LAN ironically was: HAWX - an air combat styled game.

Man-O-Lan Award
There is no question about the first award winner for this year - |nferno, who worked tirelessly for the entire weekend trying to keep the network going - running on less than 5 hours sleep.

The big ups
Distorted - For liberating a 100 odd chairs in a hurry, when we found out the ones we used to use had been donated to charity.
KingJackaL - for managing to work even with a busted arm.

All of our attendees for coming - Especially the 80 odd Lanner's who stuck around for the whole weekend despite troubles on the Friday, Was nice to see everyone still there on Sunday Morning :)

And last but not least our dedicated Admin Team who gave up both sleep and their entire weekend for L3.

Unfortunately, no one really knows right now.

I make the impossible possible ... ... ... to a certain extent.

I heard the Legendz venue has been made into something else, like a live events bar.

Does this conflict with us lanners using it?
