As always we appreciate any positive or negative feedback on our lans, and this time our new venue. By providing feedback, it gives us a really good idea on what aspects we need to focus on so that we can make L3 better for you.

We've made quite a lot of changes to the structure of L3, and I do realize that there were somethings that we could have done better for next time around. Here's a list of some things we'll be trying to sort out for our future events.

  • Slightly better cable routing for the larger cables (the ones providing three phase power).
  • Better paper towels for the toilets. I've sorted this out by finding a source to buy this from. Sorry about the lack of paper towels.

I make the impossible possible ... ... ... to a certain extent.

A first timer’s sheet would

A first timer’s sheet would have been appreciated with info on:
- Where to sit (If its ok to sit anywhere helps to know)
- How to connect to the network once you have chosen a spot
- Turn up with DC++ pre-installed (or provide a flash drive for the LAN noobs like me to install it) and how to connect to the hub
- How games are generally started through DC++

I can’t really think of anything else atm but for someone like me who just wants to play competitive games I had no idea what to do. I’m not bitter, I had a great time but felt like I was annoying other gamers having to interrupt and ask question after question.

I did turn up late so maybe I missed the intro.

Enjoy that winning feeling, It wont last long.

You can just sit anywhere you like. Reservation of seats is not normally done.

Connecting to the network is now done by the admins. You used to be able to just plug a network cable into a switch nearest to you, but that caused a lot of problems. In terms of software configuation, we've been meaning to do it for a long time and it's certainly something we can improve on.

Our main mission statement for L3 has always been that users should be allow to do whatever they want (provided it is within legal parameters and so forth). The majority of the admins are usually gamers. The intranet has been something we've been wanting to work on for a long time, which would provide many of the software that is required.

DC++ is just a chat / file sharing application. You can't start up other applications as far as I know.

Always feel free to ask the admins these questions.

I'll see what I can do about that.

All good points everyone.
