Hey theres a problem with my video card and i was wondering if anyone knew what was wrong.

I installed the new driver from Nvidia which was allgood until i rebooted. The computer started up fine and i logged in etc but everything was running extremely slow and sluggish.

I took the card out ran the monitor through the motherboard and that went fine so i uninstalled the driver and then shut down and put the card back in. I then tried a different set of drivers and the same thing happened, then another set... same again.
~:(

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated, cheers!

I've had issues in past with graphics acting up and audio going weird, where simply uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers did nothing. Does your mobo also have an nvidia chipset? I had to fully uninstall all the nvidia drivers, delete some an nvidia folder/archive in C:\ that didn't seem to be removed, run regscrubxp and then reinstall my mobo's drivers followed by my gpu's drivers.

In the end it turned out my gpu was slowly starting to die off, with glitches in its ram producing some completely random side effects which lead to the drivers bugging out on me every couple of months.

Trust me, I'm an engineer A bored engineer is the second most dangerous person in the world...right behind a bored politician

Cheers its all sorted now bar from some programs using 99% cpu usage to start up, msn for example.. One problem always leads to another lol.
