Home » L3 #47 "The Awakening" Lan - Post Lan Report

Introduction
L3 #47 was held on the 5th of February to the 7th of February. The weather was pretty awesome for the BBQ's but it wasn't too hot to make it sweltering inside out venue. Free ice creams donated by Dragon helped cool everybody down none the less.

Attendance
54 people turned up for a weekend of fragging. As always it was fantastic to see everyone again, to see some new faces and to see some old timers. Nothing beats retelling old memories and creating some new ones.

Networking and Technical
On the networking side of things everything was extremely fast and reliable, with no reported troubles through the weekend. Having an Internet connection at a lan was a exciting development for L3 and a big thank you to Maximinus for setting up such a good solution.

Gaming
Games that I saw being played this lan were:

  • Multi Theft Auto
  • Hedgewars
  • Killing Floor
  • Supreme Commander
  • Grid
  • Dawn Of War

BBQ
Phatputer and Solid Snake did the cooking this time round, and did a superb job! Hungry LANers + BBQ'ed sausages = contented LANer. Thanks again to HeadShot and Tip Top for donating bread, much appreciated!

Parking
We had plenty of parking again. If you would like to book a car park for future L3's please contact James.

Man-O-Lan Award
Thanks to Orillion for hosting two Organized Gaming Sessions and constantly promoting Gaming.

Thanks
As always to our Attendee's for coming. Our Sponsers; Gamestation, Comic's Compulsion, Dragon PC and South City mall for all of their support.
Josh and Gordon from Pulzar FM's Morning Grind paying us a visit - you can hear them on 105.7FM every weekday morning. Frairwolf and Phatputer - who both drove long distances to fill in as Admins for this Lan when we were short staffed. And lastly, not to mention our long suffering Admin team

Feedback
We always appreciate feedback, so if you have a few minutes please help us improve L3 by providing any thoughts you have about us in this thread. Thanks!
